Care Assistant

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality personal care and support to residents in a residential care setting. This role focuses on promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing while working collaboratively with the wider care team to deliver exceptional person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and daily living support to residents
- Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and nutrition
- Promote residents’ independence, dignity, and wellbeing
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ health and wellbeing
- Recognise risks such as falls, pressure sores, infections, and weight loss
- Support residents with daily routines and emotional wellbeing
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation
- Follow health & safety, safeguarding, and infection control procedures
- Work closely with nurses, senior carers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver compassionate, respectful, and person-centred care
Requirements
- Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential (full training provided)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and caring nature
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable to changing responsibilities
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills
