Care Assistant

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality personal care and support to residents in a residential care setting. This role focuses on promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing while working collaboratively with the wider care team to deliver exceptional person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support to residents
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and nutrition
• Promote residents’ independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health and wellbeing
• Recognise risks such as falls, pressure sores, infections, and weight loss
• Support residents with daily routines and emotional wellbeing
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation
• Follow health & safety, safeguarding, and infection control procedures
• Work closely with nurses, senior carers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Deliver compassionate, respectful, and person-centred care

Requirements

• Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential (full training provided)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and caring nature
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable to changing responsibilities
• Strong observation and problem-solving skills
