Research Fellow (Artificial Intelligence & Big Data Analytics)

Salary: £38,784 – £46,049 per year (Pro Rata)

We are seeking a Research Fellow to contribute to cutting-edge research in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Big Data Analytics. This role involves leading research projects, developing predictive models, publishing high-quality academic research, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to externally funded research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Big Data Analytics
• Develop predictive models, image recognition systems, and data-driven solutions
• Collect, manage, analyze, and interpret complex datasets
• Publish high-quality research papers in peer-reviewed journals
• Prepare interim and final research reports
• Present research findings at conferences, seminars, and academic events
• Collaborate with researchers, academics, and external partners
• Support the development of research proposals and grant applications
• Participate in multidisciplinary research projects
• Contribute to the day-to-day delivery of research activities
• Stay updated with emerging AI technologies and research methodologies

Requirements

• PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Sustainability, Construction, or a related field
• Strong experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning research
• Experience working with Big Data Analytics
• Proven record of academic publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Experience writing research proposals and grant applications is desirable
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within research teams
